DON VINCENZO montepulciano d'Abruzzo RISERVa 2011

Don Vincenzo Riserva D.O.C.

Wine category: Red. 

Grape variety: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo D.O.C. 100%  

Production area: Castellana di Pianella (province of Pescara)

Grape yield per hectare: 80-100 quintals Harvesting method. 

Manual Harvesting period: End of October /beginning of November. 

Wine making process and refinement: Fermentation with skins at controlled temperature; 

wine extraction with soft pressing.  Refinement in stainless steel tanks (6 months) ,

in barriques (18 months), bottles (36 months) before release.

 Color: Intense ruby red. 

Bouquet: Rich bouquet of vanilla, tobacco, cherries and licorice. 

Taste: Long lasting and harmonic. 

Alcohol Content: 14.5% vol. 

Service temperature: 16/18 ° C 

 To taste with: First courses with truffles and mushrooms, boar meat, red meat, seasoned cheeses and cold cut.

Wine Linea Magella

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Grape variety: 100% Montepulciano.

Production area: Pianella, Pescara. 

Yield per hectare: 140 quintals. 

Vinification process: soft crushing with stalks removal. Fermentation in stainless steel with maceration of the grapes for about 15 days with temperature control at around 25°C. 

After fermentation, the wine is aged first for about 6 months, later bottled and aged. 

Colour: intense red with violet reflections 

Bouquet: ripe red fruit smells with cherry, currant and purple flower notes Taste: full-bodied, intense, a perfectly harmonic and tannic taste. 

Serving temperature: 16°-18° C. 

Food pairing: goes well with important main courses, grilled red meat, Italian cuts , fresh and seasoned cheeses.

Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo

Grape variety: 100% Montepulciano 

Production area: Pianella, Pescara 

Yield per hectare: 140 quintals 

Vinification: soft pressing with stalks removal. Short cold maceration; fermentation at approximately 16°C and steel refining. 

Colour: bright pink cherry, enriched with vibrant purplish reflections.

Bouquet: fresh strawberry and cherry bouquet with floral notes 

Taste: excellent balance between volume, softness and acidity 

Serving temperature: 12-14° C 

Food pairing: early summer dishes, soups and cereals, white meat, fish soup and pizza.

Pinot Grigio IGT

Production Area: Colline Pescaresi (Pescara hills) 

Grape variety: Pinot Grigio 100% 

Farming process: pergola abruzzese 

Grape harvest: second decade of August 

Vinification: cold maceration and soft pressing, control of the fermentation performed

in stainless steel at low temperature to obtain a natural clearness by taking the upper part of the steel tank 

Alcohol content: 12.5% by volume 

Acidity content: 5.5 g/I 

Color: auburn notes obtained from gentle grape maceration 

Bouquet: elegant and tasteful, plum and whitethorn scents, good body and excellent softness well linked to the acidity 

Serving temperature: 12-14°C 

Food pairing: it matches very well with soups, fish and white meats.

Passerina

Grape variety: 100% Passerina 

Production Area: Colline Pescaresi (Pescara Hills)

Alcohol content: 12% by volume, 

Acidity content g/I : 6.5% 

Yield per hectare: 120 quintals 

Harvest process: manual process 

Vinification process: grape soft pressing (cryomaceration), fermentation of the limpid portion in stainless steel at low temperature 

Ageing and refinement: stainless steel 

Bouquet: straw yellow amber nuances, typical white flowers and green apple scents. Harmonic to the palate, the thick acid backbone of the vine variety enhances its fresh and persistent taste. 

Food pairing: seafood, tasty soups and white meats.

Pecorino IGT

Grape variety:  Pecorino 100% 

Production area: Colline Pescaresi (Pescara Hills)

Yield per hectare: 160 quintals 

Vinification: soft pressing with stalks removal. Short cold maceration and soft pressing; fermentation at approximately 18°C and steel refining. 

Colour: intense straw colour with violet nuances 

Bouquet: intense aroma, white flowers and ripe fruit scents 

Taste: full-bodied, acidulous, good aftertaste 

Serving temperature: 12°- 14°C 

Food pairing: fish and shellfish (even raw fish), white meat in sauce.

Trebbiano D'Abruzzo DOC/DOP

Grape variety: 100% Trebbiano 

Production area: Colline Pescaresi (Pescara Hills) 

Yield per hectare: 140 quintals 

Vinification process: soft crushing with stalks removal. Short cold maceration;

fermentation at approximately 14-16 °C and steel refining. 

Color: straw yellow wine with golden nuances 

Bouquet: delicate green fruit fragrance 

Taste: fresh, fruity and velvety acidity 

Serving temperature: 12°- 14°C. 

Food pairing: Aperitifs, seafood dishes, cheeses.

pecorino Sparkling Wine

Service temperature: 8-10°C

To taste with: Perfect as an aperitif, exceptional

with shellfish and seafood, excellent with first course of

fish, fresh cheese and delicate cold cut
